Yesterday I got the itch to make some homemade jam. I’m a jam freak, but have never made anything like it before. I searched a few recipes and finally settled on this one from Bon Appetite. Inspired, I went on the hunt for the ingredients at a local outdoor market. I found some delicious looking fresh strawberries (something usually sparse around here) and felt like it was meant to be. We had to let it set a little longer than expected (overnight, instead of the recommended two hours), but waking up to fresh jam and biscuits this morning was an ultimate treat.
