DIY: Marshmallow Sombrero & Serape Cupcake Toppers
I went crazy on the Hostess with the Mostess website yesterday.
Since I’ve been a little busy lately, I haven’t really had the chance to check out some of my favorite websites as often as I’d like… but … LOOK AT WHAT I FOUND!
Cinco De Mayo is coming up at the end of the week and The Marshmallow Studio has thought up something absolutely brilliant. For more...

Party Planning: "A Night at the Derby"
With the Kentucky Derby weeks away, this year I am determined to have some sort of party (I say this every year). But any who, how cute is this party from Hostess with the Mostess? I love the vintage and country ties with the party. The chandelier is to die for and hello wonderful hat cookies. I already have my fun floppy hat bought, now the planning is in process..

Here are a few of my favorite things (mind you while writing that, I sang it too - slightly nerdy, but you got to love me). The weather is finally really nice here in Southern California - blue skies, a touch of wind, and sun for days. I’d love to stock up on these wonderful goodies for the upcoming beautiful season:

Friday's Five
Yet another busy week has flown by. Between more deadlines, some wedding planning, and road tripping with a friend, I’ve been soaking up every moment of fun. Heres what we’ve been doing this week:
Ty and I went to the Cowboy Festival in my hometown. We both had so much fun and I am still dreaming of this ‘corn on a stick’… It was unbelievable!
I decided I wanted...

For the home: Cupcakes and Cashmere
I am sincerely a huge fan of Emily Schuman. I found her blog, Cupcakes and Cashmere, a little over a year ago and religiously check it almost everyday. She is a beautiful lady full of wonderful ideas, perfect fashion sense, and unbelievable recipes. I feel like I have been waiting for her first book to come out for-about-ever now, but the wait is almost over.. I just preordered my copy and think...

Have you ever tried one of these before? My Beautyblender is one of my most prized possessions in my make-up kit. Its an eco-friendly (and hypoallergenic) make-up sponge applicator that does wonders with liquid foundation. I am a huge fan of its flawless application.

Wedding Planning: Lincourt Vineyards
This past week, Ty and I took a little trip up to Santa Ynez, California. Since he’s an Ohio boy, it was one of the first places I took him when giving him the grand tour of the great Southern California area. Ever since that one weekend a few years ago, we both fell in love with the wine country and now we are looking for wedding venues in the area. This is one of the venues that we have...

Style: Delicate Finds
We’ve been pretty busy over here! This past weekend I helped cater 4 separate events, Ty and I met with our wedding officiant, and I got to spend a little time with some of my favorite girls over some dinner and drinks. I’m definitely getting back in to the swing of things again after that little spell of jet lag last week.
Not to mention, I recently received two sweet gifts from...

There is a chance I need to go to cupcakes anonymous.
Since being home, We’ve stopped into three separate cupcake shops for treats. I’ve missed you cupcakes, I’ve missed you bad. To feed into my cupcake problem, I recently stumbled upon this Strawberry Cheesecake Cupcake recipe from Joylicious. Oh My Gosh, HEAVEN. She says that there are only three things you need to win a...

Party Planning: an Art Gallery Bridal Shower
It’s no secret that I love all things art. I love art so much, that I credit my quick unwinding ability to drawing, painting, and/or creating. Even Tyler described me as “Artsy Fartsy” to his family when I first met him… So, with all that, I guess its fitting that I find this party idea kind of wonderful. Adding some vintage materials into the mix is right up my alley too....
Fridays Five
We came home to California on Monday! Since then, we’ve been busy getting our “lives back in order” - as Tyler says. So far we’ve put a huge dent into our to do lists, seen a good amount of our family and friends, and have been in food comma more times than we can count.
Leaving the airport in Munich, Germany… See you in 5 months Germany.
Early jet lagged...

Travel: 2011-2012 Season
We got some great news that we can leave earlier than expected - Tomorrow will be filled with goodbye tears, airports, planes, and welcome home hugs. Since we are going to be busy the next few days, I though I’d share (quite a) few of my favorite memories from Germany (and Roma) this year. I sincerely could not wish for a better time, better friends, or a better experience, this season....
